QC Engineer - SUMMARY
Fortinet is seeking a Quality Control Engineer with the

Responsibilities
This person will participate in the quality control of the
existing product suite. The candidate will be responsible for the
implementation and maintenance for current products per operation requirement.
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the hardware and software
testing base on QC SOP.
- Perform
reliability tests to locate the failure that may be induced by various
situations.
- Carry
out any existing rework action to recover the functionality of Fortinet
product.
- Work
with engineering teams to prove the resolution on any hardware defect.
- Propose
changes to any production testing process and testing equipment
improvements
- Assist
corrective action and rework plan to fix the problem on existing products

Effectively manage
multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Execute test cases and diagnostics hardware/software as needed (both manual
and automated).

Use software to log
all work performed and print reports as needed
- Identify
any failure trends and issue Root Cause analysis and Corrective Action
request.
- Strong
problem solving and debugging skills, ability to analyze complex
multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick
resolution
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP,
routing, switching.
- Working knowledge with Linux,
routers, switches and firewalls.
- Experienced in installing,
connecting, modifying and improving all types of electrical equipment and
controls (soldering skills a plus).
- Must be proficient using
PC/PC-Hardware and Software/Communication Ports/Communication Software. (I.e.
Windows 2k/XP/7, HyperTerminal, Com ports, etc).
- Be comfortable in identifying
problematic issues and informing management in a timely manner.
- Knowledge and experience of one
programming language: C, Perl or Java. (will
be benefit if have)
- 3-5 years+ work experiences in
an electronic Design and/or
testing/troubleshooting experiences in manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge
of general QA procedures and methodologies

Educational Requirement:

B.S in CS/EE or higher degree in CS/EE or
equivalent experience
