LinkQuest Inc, a fast growing and profitable advanced technology company based in San Diego, California, is looking for a senior system (algorithm) engineer and a senior hardware (project) engineer to expand its R&D effort of leading-edge acoustic digital signal processing systems used for offshore oil field applications, underwater explorations and environmental monitoring.

1. Senior System (Algorithm) Engineer

Development of digital signal processing algorithms for advanced acoustic instruments. Work includes analytical algorithm development, functional and error analysis, computer simulation, mixed hardware and computer emulation, and field test verification. This position requires strong digital signal processing education, good intuition and experience with its derivation and manipulation in the applied research area. The candidate should be familiar with Matlab programming and experienced with processing experimental data on computers. Solid mathematics and physics education is also required. Knowledge and experience in modern control and navigation theories are a plus.

A Ph.D degree in electrical engineering or applied physics is strongly preferred.

2. Senior Hardware (Project) Engineer

This position requires extensive hands-on experience in design, implementation, debugging and testing of analog circuits and digital circuits based on advanced DSP and micro controllers. Experience in overall product development including conceptual design, feasibility study, prototyping and commercialization is strongly preferred. This candidate needs to have strong training and/or experience in theoretical analysis. The candidate needs to have the can-do mindset and the capacity to be a strong and effective project lead, either now or after certain period of training.

A Ph.D. in electrical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering and applied physics is preferred. MS degree in relevant field is required.
