QA Tester Job Description

Develops and executes software test plans, working in conjunction with the QA Lead

Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products

Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software

Creates, prioritizes and tracks defects in the Bug Tracking System

Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems

Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues

REQUIREMENTS Skills

· Experience testing web based applications and exposure to web languages (JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, JSP, etc.)

· Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques, including rapid application development techniques

· Must be highly self-motivated and have excellent communication skills

· Experience organizing and executing test cases across multiple configurations

· Experience or course work in automated testing software and test tools a plus
